Welcome to Lauriston, our minimalist recycled leather backpack, handcrafted from our durable and beautiful pebbled recycled leather. Lauriston is strong but elegant. Ideal for a casual but elevated day to day bag, it sits as comfortably on your favourite slouchy jumper as it does on your new winter jacket.

The perfect combination of style and function, it has subtly padded adjustable shoulder straps and a discrete side zip pocket that allows easy access to cards and keys when on the go without compromising its pure appearance and simple silhouette. Its rich recycled cotton and felt interior lining holds an 18 inch laptop nice and safe, whilst a secondary internal pocket is perfect for organising other daily essentials. With a water repellent lining and outer, Lauriston is perfect for everyday commuter use.

Materials

Beautifully crafted from our luxury soft and supple pebble-textured recycled leather, which is Global Recycle Standard (GRS) certified and is made from tannery offcuts and trimmings that would have otherwise been discarded by the fashion industry.

Lined with a quality heavyweight 100% recycled cotton canvas, made from pre-consumer waste fabric collected from over 100 GRS-certified sources in three countries.

Outer composition: 50% Recycled Pre-Consumer Leather, 20% Recycled Post-Consumer Polyester, 15% Polyester, 15% Polyurethane (Global Recycled Standard certified)

Lining Composition: 100% recycled cotton, made in Turkey (Oeko-Tex 100 Certified Global Recycled Standard Certified)

Trims Composition:

Zip Tape: 80% Recycled Post-Consumer, 20% Recycled Pre-consumer Polyester

Zip Teeth: 80% Recycled Pre-Consumer Brass, 20% Other

Zips are Oeko-Tex Certified & GRS (Global Recycling Standard) Certified.

All of our bags are designed by our team in Hackney East London, before being handcrafted in very limited quantities in our specialist leather workshops in the UK. We make our bags to last, we make them to be repairable and we make them recyclable. Like you, we don’t want them going into landfill.
