Introducing the ALIGNE collection x BEEN London
We joined forces with ALIGNE to create the London-based fashion brand's first ever accessories collection.
THE COLLECTION
The limited edition ALIGNE x BEEN London collection consists of three recycled leather accessories - a directional sling bag with an elongated strap detail, a graphic clutch with a wrist strap and a statement crossbody phone bag. The collaboration features earthy nature-based colours, contrasted with the more monochrome black and off-white tones.
The BEEN London and ALIGNE teams worked in collaboration to design the collection, fusing our shared values and ethos through timeless modern design.
WASTE TO WONDER
Every year, we throw away a staggering 2.12 bn tonnes of waste. At the same time, we keep making new things by extracting virgin materials - the biggest driver of climate change.
The ALIGNE x BEEN London collection challenges the status quo. Every piece is handmade from materials that would otherwise end up in landfills.
By using only recycled materials - taking what is already in circulation - to create this collection, we are not only showing the potential value of recycling and utilising waste as a resource, but we are also able to significantly reduce the CO2 emissions compared to manufacturing using virgin materials.
FALKIRK CLUTCH
The graphic origami-inspired Falkirk clutch bag was handcrafted in East London using smooth grain recycled leather, made from tannery offcuts that would otherwise have been discarded by the fashion industry. Featuring a decorative stud detail and a non-adjustable wrist strap, Falkirk has been designed to be worn as a handheld clutch or a stylish wristlet. Featuring a hidden interior card pocket for maximum functionality.
WELLESLEY SLING
Handcrafted in East London from buttery-soft smooth grain recycled leather, the Wellesley sling can be worn high or slung low thanks to its adjustable shoulder strap with double stud closure. Boasting a soft roomy interior to fit all your daily essentials, as well as a hidden inside pocket for your cards.
WILLOW PHONE BAG
The Willow crossbody phone bag has been designed to be worn ergonomically like a sling, with an adjustable strap to fit over layers. Handcrafted in the UK in smooth grain recycled leather, Willow is available in three colour ways. Both beautiful and functional, Willow features a useful and discrete card pocket at the back.
