We love transforming 'waste' into a kaleidoscope of nature's hues. This season, we've brought back our classic Pine Green - an evergreen hue that nods to the festive season while reflecting the timeless beauty of nature's greenery.

As always, our colour pallette has been inspired by nature's beauty. From the Palaeolithic Era to Native American traditions, pine trees have left an indelible mark on human history. Used for fire by early humans and symbolising peace for Native American tribes, these trees have been revered for their medicinal properties and commercial value.

Iconic for their cone-shaped growth and needle-like leaves, Pine trees are not just botanical marvels; they play a pivotal role in ecosystems worldwide. With around 250 species, pines dominate cool-temperate and boreal forests, thriving in cold environments where other plants struggle to survive. With remarkable adaptations, from needle-like leaves and hardened cones to a growth form that minimises snow accumulation, Pines have the ability to thrive in nutrient-poor soils and withstand burning makes them a key player in the diverse world of conifers.

Pines are essential in the timber and paper industries, contributing significantly to economies globally. Planted pine forests have become the backbone of these multi-billion dollar industries, providing sustainable resources for construction and paper production.

Pine forests also support local ecosystems by providing shelter and food for wildlife. The dense foliage offers protection from the elements and predators, and their seeds contribute to the diets of various animals. With their hardy nature and robust root systems, pine trees serve as natural guardians against soil erosion. Their ability to hold soil in place makes them a popular choice for combating the detrimental effects of erosion.

At BEEN London, our dedication to sustainability is reflected not just in the vibrant palettes we create but also in our conscious practices. From sourcing recycled materials to local manufacturing, we continue to draw inspiration from nature, offering you a piece of timeless elegance rooted in the beauty that surrounds us.
