Modern Synthesis is a fellow London-based company bringing to life materials. The company uses material science to transform nanocellulose - a natural byproduct of fermentation - into a new class of responsible textiles and coatings. They not only displace animal leathers and plastic-based textiles, but also generate entirely new textile possibilities for designers.
About the Partnership
Our ongoing partnership with Modern Synthesis includes developing and creating product prototypes using their continuously improving materials as well as workshop testing and reporting.
Existing Design, Brand New Material
For this partnership we have adapted some of our existing, popular designs, to work with the Modern Synthesis materials. From the boxy Cecilia crossbody to the Vyner clutch, the prototypes showcase the possibilities of making most accessories shapes with the new material.
