About The Partnership

A fellow B Corp, giffgaff launched back in November 2009 based on the idea that there was a better way to do mobile. Since then, they've committed to offering flexibility, simplicity and good value to their members while striving for sustainability. These guiding principles have been the lighthouse for their business over the last 16 years and continue to inform and shape their work today. This extends to their advertising and media planning, so we were delighted to work with giffgaff and their media partner Talon on giving their advertising banners another life and turning them into a simple and practical line of corporate gifting.

Made In London

We chose to handcraft these items in our London workshop to ensure the banners don't travel any further than absolutely necessary. This choice also meant the project created work for London-based artisans, which is something we feel very passionate about.

Every Element Counts

As always, none of the materials in anything we make comes from a virgin source; every element is either recycled or upcycled. Beyond the repurposed giffgaff banners, the zips are made from recycled plastic and brass, and the black body is a GRS-certified Italian recycled leather.

One Of A Kind

Working with upcycled advertising banners is something we’ve been doing for years now. While PVC is tricky (though not impossible!) to process in mainstream recycling supply chains, upcycling banners into new products creates unique, one-of-a-kind pieces due to the differences in print on the banners themselves. And as always, we aim for all panels to be rectangular so that we don't create any material wastage during the making process.
